When I try to run it I get this:

I get the splash screen, but it hangs.

When I try using one of my jdk's, like this:
<snip>
lvogel@cx229913-e:/usr/local/eclipse> eclipse -vm /usr/lib/jdk1.3.1/bin
</snip>

I get a msgbox saying "Permission denied /usr/lib/jdk1.3.1/bin" . I have r+x
permissions for this jdk directory.

What gives?
