Konqueror's little icons

Simple. Ironically, all modern browsers get the file /favicon.ico from the
web site and use it an the address bar or in IE (BOO), the "Favorites" list.

Does anyone know where I can find a pointer that describes how Konqueror
gets the little 16x16 icons for some web pages? Slashdot for one changes
the Konqueror icon to a little "slash-dot" and I'd like this effect for my
own pages.
