True, we have dinosaurs here that think in Fortran. It has gotten
much better with Fortran90, but alas, it is still Fortran. However,
for matrix and vector operations, you can't beat it.
I found one of my favorite sayings back in college:
"A computer without Fortran or Cobol is like a piece of
chocolate cake without ketchup and mustard."
