Anonymous Services are Shutting down

For those (like me) wondering what 'going "middleman"' is, according
to the STFW dictate by ESR, it *seems* to be forwarding any mail onto
another anonymous service and letting them cope? JLF,
verify/enlighten if I'm wrong please.
