XLib Tutorial

Okay guys, I've a quick question for all of you. Does anyone know of a good
tutorial for learning XLib and raw X programming? I already know GTK, but
I'd like to get a bit closer to the actual calls to X.

Also, does anyone know what the differences are between GDK and XLib?
