burning an mpg

I've got a bit of a question here?
I have a mpq of a pilot for an old tv show that I would
like to burn to disk such that my dvd player will play it
(yes, I have one of those that can read dvd/cd/vcd/etc).

do I burn it as an iso9660 filesystem or what?
