Language Translator for linux?

Entschuldigen Sie mich. Englische, Bitte. Was ist skat und xskat?
Mein Deutch ist sehr schlect.

I actually did a SuSE Linux install once in German (not by choice).
Only had to look up one word. I guess 4 years of German was worth
something after all.
