Installing a thawte certificate in apache

Hey all,

I am running into trouble. I made a self-signed certificate, sent the
info to thawte, got a real crt, pointed the httpd.conf file to the new
certificate file and nada. when I execute the command ./apachectl
startssl, it says the server started, but then it dies.

Any advice?
