Erik,
This is my smb.conf. I have about 50 different systems on it right now.
Most Winnt4.0, but several 2000, 98, 95, and linux boxen. I haven't
had any problems at all.

workgroup = MYGROUP
server string = Samba Server
load printers = yes
log file = /var/log/samba.%m
max log size = 50
security = user
encrypt passwords = yes
ssl CA certDir = /etc/ssl/certs
socket options = TCP_NODELAY
dns proxy = no
