Subject: Speeding up X
sorry for getting on this ?. actually it turned out to be my HD, the
throughput was aweful buffered-disk read something like 64mb @ 11.70sec @
6.40mb a/sec and that was tweaking it using hdparm. But she gave out last
night and i had to go buy a new one so now the throughput reads:

/dev/hdb:
Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 0.67 seconds =191.04 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 3.00 seconds = 21.33 MB/sec

so everything is flying now, and that is without any tweaks. and with this
breakthrough i havent been in winblows to game for, going on 3 weeks now.
thanks for the response i was beginning to think, Tis was a silly question.
