Display size of directory tree?

I am pretty sure this has been discussed before but I can't find it in the
archives.

How do I display the size of a directory tree? For example, if I want to
know the size of all the files in the /src tree, what command do I issue?

How about the size of only the files and not subdirectories of the /src
directory?
