the way I have all the boxes I use here firewalled, port 6000 is not open.
I have root access on 4 boxes here at home and 1 in canada. all are firewalled identically...
also, if I shut down the firewalls on all boxes, the same problem still results, I cannot get X apps to tunnle through on ssh even though ssh is properly configured.
