I installed Mandrake 8.0 today, and I love it, but the weirest thing happens
when I boot into X, It logs on another user of mine, and runs /bin/cat

I can kill that /bin/cat process, and it will go away, and I don't notice
any difference, is this a bug in Mandrake, or ??
