I've just installed Progeny Debian on a system and it defaults to LPRng for
its printing tasks. I've been reading a lot about the software, and so far
I'm really impressed with what LPRng can do but I have one problem... I have
an HP 4m attached to the parallel port. A short time after a job is spooled
and printed, the printer outputs another sheet with the lines:
ERROR: timeout
OFFENDING COMMAND: timeout
STACK:
I've read a bunch of the documentation but I'm not sure what's causing this
problem. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated by this printing
newbie! If I have left any relevant info (not sure what that is) out of this
post please just let me know. I'd be more than happy to repost.
