xinetd

Mandrake dosn't install the ftpd daemon, or the telnet daemon.
run the mandrake package manager from drakconf, and search for ftpd: it
gives you two choices to install, install your choice, then search for
telnet a telnet daemon will show up, install that one and you should be
all set up.
