LILO - Kernel too big

Help!

I have compiled the 2.4 kernel with make bzImage. That works fine.

But when I try to run /sbin/lilo I get a "Kernel too big" error. The funny
part is that the new bzImage 2.4 kernel is 623k while my existing 2.2 kernel
that works is 629k!

I have even gotten the lilo source and recompiled and still I get the same
error.

Has anyone had this error before?
