IDIOTS!
I'm really SICK of Inficad - Now they are selling us all
to Earthlink!
Earthlink does not allow fixed IP addresses for dialup.
Inficad charged a one-time fee of $30 for fixed IP
address on dialup.
ALL my (non-spam) email comes direct to my linux box at the
fixed IP address I got from Inficad. I am not prepared
to give that up.
I cannot get DSL in my area yet.
I do NOT want to use Cox@home because I must run services
on my machine. (sshd and mail for now, httpd later, with
most pages redirected to my pages on my isp)
That also kicks out sprint broadband.
I plan to go to FASTQ as soon as I can get DSL at my house.
But they do not do static IP addresses on dialup.
HELP! I need an ISP I can use that will let me have a fixed
IP address on dialup! Or I need a solution that makes it
look like I'm fixed!
Grumble grumble grumble...
