Lucas, I got openssh-2.5.1p1-1 running under Redhat 6.2 and 7.0
installing from rpms. The install created /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S55sshd
automagically. You'll want to edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config. I don't know
what to do about the Windows side.
FWIW, I use ssh to run vmware remotely; I need Windows to deal w/
Netware. I added:
Compression yes
Compressionlevel
9
to /etc/ssh/ssh_config and got a decent performance boost over just
using -C on the commandline. HTH
