There is one other soultion you can use (actually 2).
keep the cx string (as @home won't work without it)
and setup some aliases in your linuxconf.
also, it might not be a bad idea to setup
a virtual redirector using dyndns.com
(I use pretorian.ath.cx and e-mail still gets here).
