Subject: Need help upgrading an old system
Well, I figured out how to get to the install package for RH 7.0. (I had
forgotten this work-around from the 6.1 upgrade).

1) Ignore the boot.img and bootnet.img files!

2) Create 2 dos formated floppy disks - 1 should be bootable.

3) On the non-bootable floppy place a copy of loadlin, vmlinuz, *.img, and
*.bat from the autoboot directory on the CD-Rom

4) Modify the batch file if necessary

5) Boot to dos and the run the batch file.

I have an older PC (AMD 133MHz) that will not boot from the CDROM drive.
The RH 7.0 boot images won't load from the floppy drive (although an
installed system can use it just fine). It is currently running 6.1.

Since I just got Cox at home and since I need to configure it anyway, I want
to upgrade.

What does this group suggest.
