RPM spec files

Hey all:

Anyone have any tips on building the file list section of rpm spec
files? Anything to make it quick and accurate?

The makefiles are foreign enough to me to make it difficult to determine
from there.

There must be a trick to take a source tarball and determine where it will
"make" and "make install" its files to?

Anyhow, thanks for any ideas :)
