\_ Hello:
\_ Another quick question. I'm using KDE on my Mandrake box and I
\_ generally like it. (I don't want to provoke any flame wars about the "best"
\_ user interface!) I just want to know-- if a misbehaving application hogs
\_ cycles to the point that the mouse is malfunctioning, how do I bail out of
\_ it without pushing the "reset" switch? Skimming through the "KDE in 24
\_ Hours" book I have, I don't see anything to that effect.
run top in a term window, figure out which process is stealling
cycles, then kill it either through top ('k', I believe) or from the
command line 'kill'.

Lucas,
I am sorry if I offended, or annoyed you. But the fact of the =
matter is not everyone does have a job in the Linux, Unix world. I =
myself am learning Linux, but am far off from doing Linux =
professionally. I have helped people from this fine organization find =
work, or find a better job. Yes there are going to be members that are =
happy with their current job, and yes there are some people that I won't =
be able to help. But that's not going to stop me from trying to help.
In the end, I don't mean to offend, or annoy anyone by posting these =
openings. I am just trying my best to network, and inform people so =
that they at least have a pulse on the Job World from a recruiters point =
of view. =20
I admire the skills that everyone has, and hope to be among other PLUG =
members as a skilled Linux user in the near future.
Sincerely,
Anthony G. Walsh
