Yup. I think AIT is proprietary as well.
The tape comparisons at ecrix don't compare AIT, so one would think
they're afraid of that.
The lack of dataloss is important to me, but my home setup doesn't quite
get the same use as what I experienced at Motorola, e.g. the EXA drive
hasn't had near the chance for failure as other tape drives I've used.
