I whole heartedly agree.
Redhat has been more of a nuisance than not.
they even changed the hdparm command in such a way that if you
turn on dma, you hose your filesystem (no recovery).
There are other small problems associated with gcc and a ffew of
the devel tools, but the updates have been recent and frequent.
