Hello again:
Thanks to Jeff and Craig for their replies. I tried changing the =
device that kscd points to, and it complained! I put it back to =
/dev/hdc, and it was happy-- still didn't work, but it didn't complain. =
I've tried this as root so it shouldn't be a permission problem. I've =
thought about turning off automount-- not sure where to do that, but I =
CAN do a umount of /mnt/cdrom, which doesn't cause any errors. The cd =
player still doesn't work, though. It's not a real necessity, but it is =
an annoyance that it doesn't work.
