\_ I'm having a problem with VNC Server working on Mandrake 7.1 I've tried
\_ installing from RPMs, the ATT binaries and source, and nothing seems to
\_ work.

\_ My problem is this: When i start the vncserver program it loads up, but
\_ when i connect to my server nothing is there (just a checker pattern) The
\_ log file shows this:
The checker pattern is the default root background hashing pattern if
you don't give X some other command. Normal.
As for not connecting:
1) try launching an app during X startup
2) try xhost
3) rtfm?
