got a copy of suse 6.4 for the ppc from kevin the other night at
bandersnatch. i've tried the install on 2 units and each has failed.
the 7100/80 has 80mb ram and locks each time i try to boot from the
cd. the 7200/75 only has 16 mb of ram and errors out each time. that
one is probably just not enough memory. but what would cause the
other to lock on each boot?
got a copy of debian 68k last night so will try that on another mac i have.
oh, before you guys go nuts for me having 3 macs, there are 8
computers in this house ranging from pc to mac to alpha. i'm not
picky about which computer i work with, i just like working with them.
