Absotively! IIRC, Debian was the first distro
to package crypto stuff via their "non-us"
packages. The http and ftp servers that provide
the "non-us" packages are physically located
in crypto-friendly countries.

To use these packages with APT, you add the following lines to your
sources.list file:
deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main contrib non-free
deb-src http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main contrib non-free
APT totally rocks. I *REALLY* wish all other
Unices would adopt it.
