Subject: adapter teaming
Wouldn't it also be OK in BIND to have

samba-1 IN A 192.168.0.1
samba-2 IN A 192.168.0.2

samba 60 IN A 192.168.0.1
samba 60 IN A 192.168.0.2

1.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa. IN PTR samba-1
2.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa. IN PTR samba-2

and let "samba" be a round-robin DNS entry
that alternates between 192.168.0.1 and
192.168.0.2. I put the sixty-second TTL
on the "samba" RR so that if one of the
NICs dies, you can simply comment out
the line for that NIC.

Also, "samba-1" (or "samba-2") can be
used to specifically hit a particular
interface.
