It might also be a WM setting. I run AfterStep(1.8.x) on SuSE 6.4, and it
blanks out after about 5 minutes or so. However, if I switch to KDE or
something else, it won't do it.

Subject: screen blank.
Hey PLUG.
I want to stop my screen from blanking. First of all I'm not even
in Xwindows so it's got nothing to do with it's screen saver
functions. I've already tried the utility setterm and set the blank to 0
and the powersave to off. Is there something else I'm missing? I think
it's tied to the root account. Seems to me that when logged in as a
normal user it never blanks. Is this supposed to be a security feature
for the root account? The timeout is about 5 minutes...
Don
