IE has already been ported to Unix
(
http://www.microsoft.com/unix/ie/default.asp), but it is only for Solaris
and HP.
As for Office...I believe that somehow through OSE, you can load Word and
Excel (I think that's it right now) through the web. Although I haven't seen
this, maybe I'll tinker with that some time this weekend. <g>

I know that you can get IE for HP-UX and Solaris right now. It doesn't do
much good for Linux tho...
