Larry,
You are so right, I did not have my distro set up for development.
The distro is Mandrake 7.1.
LfSvesion is 2.4, Aug 28, 2000.
It fails during the "make" part of the installing of "bash-2.04".
Guess I will go back and set Mandrake up for development
and start all over.
