diffing special chars

Bah. You just need to document it. :-) Or build it in manageable
pieces.

\_ Get [Mastering Regular Expressions by ORA] and give it a shot. It should
\_ be worth it.

I've read the MRE cover to cover, and if you're coding more than one
20 char regexp a day, you prolly ought to take a look. It's steep,
but, it's got the juice you need.
