actually, I did figure it out a bit.
its not instructions for getting dialpad to work IN linux, jyust
getting dialpad to work through a linux firewall/IP_MASQ.

and it definitely requires the installation of ipmasqadm in order to
get things working. as far as dialpad itself is concerned, it won't
work in linux
as it requires the use of microshafts Java Virtual machine. (tuck).
