Emacs is great but it's probably not what you're accustom to. You'll be
better off in the long run if you go ahead and learn it though. It's very
poweful (and bloated).

Coffecup makes a good linux editor but it co$t'$ (I think there's a
shareware demo)

Web maker is good but not as nice as coffeecup's.
