Subject: Reformatting harddrive

I just recently purchased a bigger and better computer that I want to run my
Linux Server on and now I would like to change my old machine back into a
windows machine so that my wife can use it. How do I format the hardrive to
allow me to do this, I have tried running fdisk and everytime I try and
delete the extended partitions it tells me that I cannot delete the
partition while logical drives exist, even though I have also deleted the
logical drives. Somebody please help!! Any information would be greatly
appreciated. Are there any special commands I must use?
