Tape Backup

Thanks to all for your help.

I'm running Caldera eServer 2.3
.................... Would Redhat be better?


The Caldera doc says to build a new Kernel and
them build an rpm...... then install the rpm....
sounds a funny to me.

The patch for the onsteam di-30 say to use the tar
file and the patch to create a new Kernel.

I don't have the tar file. I only have an rpm of
the kernel.

How do most people re-configure / compile their
kernal?

Any good reference material......I'm definetly in
deeper than I should be......


And of course there is building the Apache secure
server..........


Is there a simpler way?
