Didn't someone mention www.frewwweb.com or something like that? I've been using
USWest Choice Online (and Televesion) since it became available in my area, and
have been mostly pleased. They do not officially support Linux, but setting it
up was as easy as configuring my NIC for DHCP. The 1MB service (I've never
actually gotten close to this...) is really good. Its like $49 a month, after
a $60 installation fee if you already have your NIC installed, which you will
need to have if you're using it with Linux, because their 'techs' won't have a
clue (they install all new wiring for it and stuff.). I also noticed that I
have the same IP 90% of the time. The one gripe I have is that their '24 hour
customer service' is only truly accessible during the day, other times they put
you on a waiting list.
