Subject: obtuse printing question
I can print fine from linux & samba (via linux)

I am now using netatalk for the Macs in my house

when I print from a Macintosh - it works but it creates the following
entries in the syslog...

Apr 18 08:26:21 barney papd[17900]: child 18130 for "felix2" from 65457.118
Apr 18 08:26:25 barney papd[18130]: lp_print queued
Apr 18 08:26:25 barney papd[17900]: child 18130 done
Apr 18 08:26:25 barney kernel: parport0: PC-style at 0x378
[SPP,ECP,ECPEPP,ECPPS2]
Apr 18 08:26:25 barney kernel: parport0: detected irq 7; use procfs to
enable interrupt-driven operation.
Apr 18 08:26:25 barney kernel: parport0: no IEEE-1284 device present.
Apr 18 08:26:25 barney kernel: lp0: using parport0 (polling).

My question is...what is procfs, how do I use it to enable interrupt-driven
operation? Should I just ignore this since it's working? (the printer is an
HPLJ 4M which I don't believe to be IEEE-1284 capable).

Craig
