Reading raw data off of a floppy

Thanks, I just tried it but still no luck. Mtools reports...

plain_io: Input/output error
init A: could not read boot sector
Cannot initialize 'A:'

whenever I attempt to access the floppy. Any other ways to get at the raw
data?
