kernel 1.3.x - /dev/modem

OK, I just put together the pre3 kernel -- It was much easier to get my
pcmcia webgear working with it.

-- But now my modem no longer works. My laptop modem is a
lucent-linmodem, and it won't work until lucent fixes it (binary
driver). But my desktop is an AOpen and it doesn't work either. I'm
hoping that it's just a matter of the name of the serial device file
changing. It used to be /dev/cua1. I've tried a bunch, to no avail.
Does anyone know what it might be?
