What's the saying? "Reliable, fast, cheap: Pick any two" What are your
parameters? 10 or 100Mbps? Managed or unmanaged? Performance more important
or price?

Assuming it's for non-critical use and price is an issue, Sparco's got a
Netgear 24 port 10/100 for $541, a Linksys for $418, and a D-Link for $505.
Note that I don't necessarily RECOMMEND these units, but they may fit your
needs. A Cisco (managed) unit for $1,399 will fit critical applications.

Warehouse.com also has some cheap units. Of course, 16 port units will cost
less -- an Accton 16 port unit is $221. 10Base-T will also be much less.
Would a couple of 8 port units work for you? If so, they're to be had quite
competitively these days -- ie Allied Telesyn for $115.
