No it wasn't difficult - I'm rather funny. Difficult things I will work thru
myself. The easy stuff, I get impatient and just ask the group - shoot me.

Turns out that the problem was the 'filter' file which is located in the
/var/spool/lpd/lp subdiretory. Printcap suggests that you don't edit
directly (probably a good idea) so I ended up deleting the printer & the
/var/spool/lpd/lp subdirectory and set up again which took care of the
problem.
