Debian & printing

Well I have decided to learn how to set up a printer
on my Debian box. I have never hooked this up before,
and was wondering if someone can either throw me a few
bones or direct me to a web site that has some fairly
idiot proof instructions.

I am hoping I can get my Cannon BJC-80 to print.
