Check your mount options...I bet they say either nosuid or noexec or
default to one or both of those.
man mount
man fstab

\_ Hi Folks,
\_ I have successfully installed my parallel Zip Drive. I can mount it and
\_ "cd" to it, write to it, but am unable to execute a program. The
\_ following
\_ is my setup:
\_
\_ ~>ls -l /
\_ drwxrwxr-x root root mnt
\_
\_ ~>ls -l /mnt
\_ drwxrwxr-x clay users zip1
\_
\_ ~>ls -l /mnt/zip1
\_ drwxr-xr-x clay users SP
\_
\_ ~>ls -l /mnt/zip1
\_ drwxr-xr-x clay users l01
\_
\_ ~>ls -l /mnt/zip1/l01
\_ -rwxr-xr-x clay users ex01.01
\_
\_ ~>ls -l /mnt/zip1/l01/ex01.01
\_ bash: /mnt/zip1/l01/ex01.01: Permission denied
\_
\_ I can copy the ex01.01 program to my home directory and it functions
\_ fine.
\_
\_ I have read the man pages fs, fsck.ext2, e2fsck and they show no
\_ solution
\_ to this problem. Any help would be appreciated.
\_ TIA
\_ Clay Stapleton
