anyone know of a package that keeps track of system configuration,
e.g. conf files, /proc? I want to backup conf data only and keep track of
changes. This includes in the proc filesystem, e.g. I want to know if
someone manually added a firewall rule that didn't make it into the conf
file or if filesystems are being mounted and unmounted, etc. I'm looking
for something passive that just runs out of cron once in a while.
