In enlightenment I know it blanks the rest of the scren and moves
the window to the uper left corner. it still has the virtual
desktop size at your max, but the curent res is set to the
smallest that the window will fit in. I'm next to nil on C
and even less on Lisp. (to say I can right a hello world
from memory is preaty much my extent of C and nothing other
than looked at some Lisp code in sawmill config files)
