Thanks Bob!!

- I am running VB 7.0
- I accepted all the defaults when installing Ubuntu 20.04lts - that 
means DHCP.
- There are no entries in the VP network menu: files->tools->network 
manger.
- Guest network: click on guest : right mouse click->settings->network 
is set to nat.
    - ip is 10.0.2.15/25
       - sudo apt update and sudo apt upgrade both work
       - This is not my network, I am on 192.x.x.x
