How to find which switch port is associated with a particular outlet

Unplugging the cable and see what lights go out is one way. If the switch is a manger switch probably has lldp enabled then you can install lldp on your laptop. Then plug you laptop in and you should see what port you are connected. There is good documentation online on how to do this.
