hdd ide to sata; which way to go

I use clonezilla at work here all the time, and its much like having
an opensource equivalent to Acronis or Ghost available to do disk to
image or disk to disk operations and copies.

no pretty gui but very powerful and a good way to get use to the
powerful Linux disk management tools.
